When does the season start and how long does it run?
Our recreational seasons typically run for 6–8 weeks, with one game each week. Dates will be posted on our website and emailed to all registered families.
What is the cost and what does it include?
The program costs $60 per player and includes:
- A full uniform kit (jersey, shorts, socks)
- Referees for games
- Field access
- An end-of-season trophy
What age groups do you offer?
We offer divisions for kids ages 4 to 10, organized by birth year to ensure fair and fun competition.
Do you offer practices during the week?
We are a game-focused recreational program. Some teams may hold optional practices depending on the coach’s availability, but they are not required. Most of our teams train once per week and is completely organized by the parent volunteer coach. The league does not require practices or provide facilities.
Who are the coaches?
All teams are led by volunteer coaches with guidance from our professional staff. Our program is overseen by experienced soccer professionals and high school coaches.
Where are games played?
Games will be held at fields located in Mesa, Arizona. A full schedule and location map will be provided before the season starts.
Can my child be placed on a team with friends or siblings?
We do our best to honor buddy and sibling requests when noted during registration. However, we cannot guarantee all requests due to team balance and roster limits.
What equipment does my child need?
Players must bring:
- Soccer cleats (no baseball cleats)
- Shin guards (required)
- Water bottle
We provide the uniform!
What if my child has never played soccer before?
No problem! Desert Heat is a great place to start. Our program is designed to be welcoming, instructional, and fun for all skill levels.
How can I volunteer to coach or help out?
We love volunteers! You can sign up during registration or contact us directly. We provide coaching support and resources to make it easy and fun.
